I do love speculative fiction, and this certainly delivers. An interesting arc that travels through a few different genres. I had a little trouble keeping up with all the characters but got over that by halfway through.

I had to sit with this book a little after I read. I really liked most of the book. There was a part discussing the scientific reason for the happening of the book and religious reasons as well. To me those were boring and somewhat confusing. Otherwise it was really good.

Le meilleur roman français que j'aie jamais lu. Il est impossible de le mettre dans un seul genre — SF ? Roman philosophique ? Thriller ? C’est une énigme au début, puis des diverses histoires se réunissent et divergent. Je ne l’ai pas accordé cinq étoiles parce que les ruminations philosophiques deviennent trop longues, surtout la débatte entre les érudits religieux.

I wanted to love this! Great concept and great writing. But it felt like fifty different stories all crammed in, and none really fleshed out or finished. I was disappointed.
