I have been cackling and kicking my feet over the way King behaves. I am absolutely in love with this crazy ass man. His unhinged moments may be my favorite, because what do you mean he kidnaps her and then forces her to marry him?

I also adore how feisty Savannah is. Their interactions are so funny, and she is hilarious all on her own. King is so over the top with his love and protection, and Savannah has her own quirks that make her perfect for King. I loved this story so much I restarted it as soon as I finished reading it the first time.

The voice actors, Chloe Ryan and Jack Calihan, do a fantastic job in the dual audio narration. I think my favorite part is how well Jack differentiates King and Nero with the change in tone and grit of his voice.

The thing that I enjoy most about The Alliance series is the plus size women. I love seeing that representation on page. I had so much fun reading this organized crime romance and recommend this to anyone who enjoys plus size romance, dark romance, or mafia romance.

These mafia men from SJ Tilly are on another level. They’re a bit unhinged. They make me laugh and they are down bad for their women. Probably a bit obsessive, some stalker tendencies, but I still gobbled up every delicious moment. Each of the Alliance men fall for curvy women who are not afraid to rock their curves. Each book has a delicious age gap. While these are mafia stories and inherently darker, they were still lighter with funny moments leading to the most unexpected found family.

I was convinced that Mafia romances weren’t for me after reading two and they just work in my opinion. But S.J. Tilly has officially changed my mind. She’s found a way to make the dark romance not so dark and I think that’s what helped me enjoy it.
First the plot in this played out and worked better in comparison to Nero where it sort of like a quick add on for me.
Secondly I love king, the name is perfect for him.
Also him and Savannah complement each other so well.
