This was a cute friends to lovers. Not too angsty. Just fluffy holiday fun and 12 dates gone hilariously wrong

Looking for a cute, quick, Christmas audiobook to get you in the mood for the season? This sweet novella will have you laughing and smiling as Taylor and Weston go from best friends to more.

Ever since that fateful kiss when Taylor and Weston were young teenagers, they have both mistakenly friend zoned each other. Both secretly enjoyed the kiss but thought the other didn’t. They’ve had crushes on each other ever since but are too afraid to say anything.

When Taylor discovers her fiancé of two years cheating on her, she does what she always does, runs to Weston. This time though Weston is tired of pretending they are just friends and decides to take up Taylor’s list of twelve Christmas dates she had planned for her fiancé and have her go on them with him, with a few alterations. All the dates, some hilarious, some endearing prove to bring the two closer together and are destined to culminate into something great at the families’ traditional Christmas party. But, when an interfering mother decides to invite several dates for her son, this threatens to upend the developing romantic relationship between Taylor and Weston.

I loved all the humorous situations Taylor and Weston find themselves in during these dates, from burning a stocking outfit to sitting on Santa’s lap to roller skating to a quirky grandma. There’s a whole lot packed into this novella. The audiobook version has my favorite narrators who have narrated previous books. I absolutely love the way they voice all the characters!

It could definitely be read as a stand alone, but readers of the Love Clichés series will especially enjoy reading it before or after Falling For Your Best Friend. Definitely a sweet book to put you in the holiday spirit and at just a little over two and a half hours, it can easily be listened to in one day. I received a copy of this from the author. All opinions are my own and I was not required to leave a review.

Cute, fun Christmas romance story!

The air is crisp here, the leaves are turning beautiful shades of oranges, golds, and reds, and Halloween is around the corner. But I am in the mood for all the Christmas romance books right now!!!

This is a sweet friends-to-lovers HEA, and a fast read.
Weston is totally smitten for his best friend, Taylor, and she for him. Both in love with one another, but too afraid to cross the line of vulnerability.

I love that the dates all went wrong in their own ways, but still enjoyable in a way only friends could appreciate.

Sam and Chase are two characters I'd like to know more about; this is a standalone book in a series, 4 out of 6, and Chase is in the next one. This is the only book in this series I've read so far, but I'll probably read through the rest of the books. I find these one day reads are perfect when needing to get out of a reading slump.

This was a sweet novella of friends to lovers. It was funny and adorable.

I listened to the audiobook, but think I would have enjoyed it more if I had read it. The woman narrator was very robotic. There was very little emotion in her voice. The man narrator did a great job though! But, the two didn't mix well because of the difference in their emotions (or lack of).

This was such a cute and light hearted read. Perfect for holidays. I really fell in love with West. And HE WAS THE ONE PRANKING HER EXES FOR HURTING HER. That was hilarious!!

I'm definitely gonna read more books of this author.

A sweet little Novella still in the Love Cliches universe AND Christmas!

Upgrade to 4.5 upon second reading. Great best friends to lovers with just the most mutual pining. This is the kind of misunderstanding trope that I can appreciate. The idea of working up to telling her you love her by planning a list of holidates after she finds out the boyfriend she wanted to do the list with cheated on her? Brilliant. Short, sweet, closed door Christmas novella.

This was a very quick slice of friends to lovers romance which was basically pure fluff. It was okay. I wasn't sold on the female lead, who irritated me a little. The pace was too fast for me, but that's a function of this being a novella. Loved the grandmother and the male lead.

This novella was surprisingly wonderful! Sure there were a few corny moments and more than a few times where you just want to smack someone upside the head and be like DUH! But overall it was full of laughs and a super sweet romance between two best friends who are obviously perfect for one another.
