By far one of the best in the whole of the Fablehaven and Dragonwatch series! The character development is so deeply satisfying, particularly in Seth's case. Thinking back on how he was when the series started versus now really puts into perspective how much he has grown and learned, and seeing him have to navigate his current situation without any of his memories or the people he has had in the past is just such an emotional journey!

Typical Brandon Mull...it ends in a cliff hanger and the next book doesn't come out till 2022!

Seth and Kendra are growing up so much!!!

I was worried I wouldn't remember enough of the previous books to enjoy this one as much as I should, but I'm glad I do. These books are magical.

I enjoyed almost every aspect of this book from the storytelling to the character development. While this is geared more toward a younger audience, I think that Brandon Mull made this appealing to any age. This does mean that most (if not all) themes are adolescent.
I think that the Humbugle storyline and discovering what happened to the Nipsies were great additions to the series. While we don't know everything about the dragon rebellion yet, we find a good chunk of the information behind it in this book.
I am eager to read more in the last book of the series!
