UGH. No. If it engaged me maybe I could’ve gotten to 3, but this was mostly a waste of time. I hated the characters, I hated the useless sex scenes, I hated the dialogue. I hated it. Flynn does write some beautiful lines that I did, I do admit, enjoy. But this is not a good story, it is not a good thriller, it is not a good mystery, and it is not a good book. Yuck.

the pacing of the story felt a little fast and like it spiraled to the end a bit quickly but that could also be bc ive seen all the spoilers forever ago......beyond that none of the main 3 characters are likeable which i enjoyed! i support womens wrongs

This book will definitely make you feel some things that you probably weren’t prepared for when you picked it up. Oof. If there’s ever a MC that I wish I could just hug and give a good forehead kiss to, it’d probably be this one. 🥴😩

I really liked Gone Girl so thought I would give this book a go. Overall I enjoyed it, I thought the storyline was interesting and engaging. The one thing I didn’t like was the unnecessary theme of self harm. I don’t think it really added anything to the plot, and felt like it was added for shock factor more than anything.

Also the detective never speaking to Camille again after seeing her scars, yikes.
