✨️Book Review✨️
After Ever Happy - Anna Todd (512📖) (2nd December - 4th December) 5⭐️ 3🌶

Just when i didn't think I could love this series more, After Ever Happy shows up and wipes that clear. This is by far my favourite book in the entire series. It's almost like the roles are reversed compared to the first 3 books and he is the one trying and trying and being met with resistance. I love that for Tessa! I'm so sad that the series has come to a close, and I do feel slightly cheated out of some parts of the final book as so much time was jumped, but it was still the outcome I love so no complaints from me. Urgh, I love this series so much! Definitely has a special place for me. It's crazy that just over a month ago, I had never read Tessa and Hardin's story to now where I'm so obsessed with it it's mental. So much love and thanks to Anna Todd for bringing these characters to us and allowing them a special place on our hearts.

Everybody should read the After series, it's just a must. It's long and messy, but it's bloody brilliant! You won't feel the same After... did you see what I did there?😅

I started reading this series on wattpad in early high school so I’m honestly just so glad to be done (idc about reading ‘before’). It’s definitely an improvement on the others with less back and forth between Tessa and Hardin/Harry which wraps up the series nicely

This book series was both captivating and frustrating to read. While the first three books kept me engaged, the fourth installment, "After Ever Happy," felt rushed and lacked the depth and substance of its predecessors.
SpoilerThe cop-out of time jumping at the end was disappointing,
and the ending was too cliché and tidy for my taste. In my opinion, the series could have been wrapped up in three books if all the irrelevant content,
Spoiler such as the repetitive fight scenes, the over abundance of sex (we get it already!), the introduction of irrelevant characters (Soto? Robert?), and unresolved plotlines (Landon's bride?)
were removed.

While I know that some readers may not agree with me, I found myself rooting for Hardin, despite his abusive and destructive behavior. He displayed the most growth throughout the series, and I was invested in his journey to overcome his demons. In contrast, Tessa's character development felt stunted early on, and her decisions often contributed to the toxicity of their relationship. We were constantly reminded about how she was raised to be an independent of a woman and yet we see her consistently running to others to rescue her; there were few instances that demonstrated her being a strong and independent person. The way the series handled topics such as abusive relationships, alcoholism, depression, and infertility was disappointing, as they were romanticized and not adequately addressed.

One of the many maddening issues I had about the book was
Spoiler Hardin's bio dad storyline. The issue drove Hardin to spiral out of control to the point that even Tessa couldn't bring him back from his deep hurt; however, how Hardin overcomes this betrayal is barely discussed in book 4. He doesn't even seem bothered by it at all the next time we see him and Vance interact with one another.
The plotline seemed pointless.

The first book started out strong and hooked me quickly; would I recommend this book series? No -- but since I've already invested all this time to this series, I'll continue to torture myself and watch the movies so you don't have to.

The final book of the series (not including the prequel). Must be read in order. Again, the toxic love is so addictive and amazing. Loved the ending in the book WAY more than the movies.

I finished all 4 books in this series in 9 days. I could not put them down! I lost a bunch of sleep over that time frame and I would do it all again. I'm so glad I'm done reading and I loved it. The emotional rollercoaster it had me on was intense.

I would definitely suggest this series!!

I have to give 5 stars to this book because it provoked in me every possible existing feeling I didn’t even know before.
The whole series is nerve rocking, and now I can honestly say... you have to read the 4 books before judging them.
It might have been started as a fanfic but it ended up as a really good book with solid story, honest character development making them absolutely addictive and complex.

¡Por fin! He llegado al final y estoy súper contenta. La historia fue toda una montaña rusa. Yo empecé a leer After como un fan fiction y aquí estoy después de tanto tiempo. Ya mi alma puede estar en paz.
