I LIKE IT
BUT I DON'T LOVE IT
I'm trying to love this book as much as I thought I would be, but I can't. The good thing is, in fact this book doesn't disappoint me.
I still love Neal Shusterman's writing style, but this book doesn't fulfill my expectations.

The Toll is all about how to build a new world under the new habitats, with its center characters such as Rowan, Citra, Greyson. Faraday, Munira and Loriana to build new life.
Thunderhead is still silent, people still confused. And scythes become more vicious, especially Scythe Goddard.
SpoilerThe Tonists plot story was kinda boring for me, they're mediocre communities and I think they existence didn't bring any relevance thorough the book.
And also, bring some people out from the Earth, and the plan that the nanites that would kill 5% of the population every 20 years as a way to offset the gleaning if it didn't work out? I guess that was a good plan, but all the build up, I expected something bigger?

It was quite satisfying ending, but it's not enough for me to savor all the facts that I read +600 pages to get that conclusion. The first 100 pages confused me A LOT! LIKE A LOT, it took time for me to dive in to the story. Sorry, THE TOLL isn't as good as the other two *weeping*

Very emotional that I’ve finished that but I spent a lot of this series like 😧😧

faraday, citra et curie vont me manquer ❤️‍

Actual Rating 4,5

Was war das für ein Abschluss für diese spezielle Reihe. Ich fand es wieder total fesselnd und faszinierend. Gerade der Thunderhead und Greyson haben es mir angetan! Ich hab die zwei so geshipped

I personally don't approve of pushing bias just to push it. That was a major bummer with one arc of this story. I don't love he wrote other characters, or the way the story went. It all ended okay it just wasn't my favorite when it began so well in book 1. -sigh- But honestly, I almost DNF'd over him pushing his modern bias when it didn't add to the story! It just SCREAMS lazy writing when the writer is clearly anything but! The world building he did was amazing. Just not one I'll visit again.

So goddamn good! I want to cry!! This book is as perfect as the thunderhead. It wrapped up every character so beautifully. Citra and Rowan are adorable. I adore Jeri, what an awesome addition to this series. And Ayn, you finally did it. You finally did the thing that you’ve wanted to do all along. I’m so thrilled with this series, thank you thank you thank you Neal.
