"Humans liked to pretend they were superior, above all others, but how superior were people who stoned women to death for cheating on their husbands? Or made animals fight for their amusement? Sure demons weren't any better, but at least they didn't hide behind religious tenets or cultural tradition to excuse their brutality."

Maybe more of a 2.5, really too dark for me. The exploration of people needing to be punished in order to be released from their guilt is not one that I am comfortable with.

Shade's story. Runa, Shade's human lover, was bitten by a werewolf after she runs when she discovers him with 2 vampires. They are reunited in his brother's dungeon, can they forgive each other enough to escape or will their secrets cause their demise.

This book is way better than the 1st one, it kept being annoying on a low level and I was pleasantly surprised! I enjoyed reading this book very much. It was a really good, gripping story, with a lot of interesting characters.

When i first read about Shade in Eidolon's story , i can't say i was thrilled to know more about him but i was misled. This guy seemed stoic and reserved but he surely had a wild side i didn't know it existed! He's a bad-ass that went soft in the end. (Bummer) The female in this story, Luna, didn't get on my nerves at all and proved to have a backbone.

There was a lot of action going on and i found myself fully engrossed. Wraith still remains my favourite of the brothers but apart from him i begin to really like Kynan. I look forward reading their stories. I'm glad i gave this series another try...

2nd reading: I'm not sure why there's no review for this one from my original read, but it was good. It was fun to revisit this series. I read it long ago enough that it felt like a first read. I wouldn't say I was as enthusiastic this time as I was my first time around, but I'll leave the rating.

This was one of those I love it hate it types. There was the same amount of hate as there was love.
I liked Runa & Shade's story line. It was really thought out well, besides all the sex they had to have. I really
liked how they were forced into bonding with each other through a dream. I saw things in this story that reminded
me of J.R. Ward. The whole torture room thing,(Vishous) and his mate wanting to be tortured with a lil twist to it. Like him actually
doing it to help her rather than just for pleasure.(kinda weirded me out though) I liked that the brothers make an appearance
throughout the book and Tayla too even though she didn't show up to nearly the end, but they did mention her a lot.

But I'm so exhausted from reading this I know it's their nature and what kind of species the Seminus demon are, but come on does this
book have to have that much sex. I'm serious I'm exhausted from all the sex I read. It was way too much for me. This book was all about
lust not love and orgasms after orgasm just not realistic, yes, yes I know f.a.n.t.a.s.y. But really I think it needs to be believable too at least
for me. It is labeled as a paranormal romance after all. I would have liked a little more tension & romance than just getting down and dirty, but that was
what the author made them out to be like. So I have to respect that.

I have to say that Gem and Kynan need their own story they are more interesting than the leads. Sorry their story just has more depth to it.
I think its because there is more sexual tension between the two. Like these too really know each other and want to know more, and become more. Out of all the brothers I have to say Wraith is my favorite(soft spot for the tortured) I love his care free attitude and can't wait to meet the lady thats gonna rock his world.

4★ reasons
1.Good story line
2.love secondary characters
3.too much sex and orgasms to be believable(OH I JUST GOT IT SEMIN-US..LOL!!!)
4.can't wait for Wraith's story
Here's my couple

I love this series but this book is not my favorite. I love Shade but Runa is not my favorite. I think she just needs to grow on me.

Wow...so I don't know...I did like it, but there were times when I was just not enjoying the read. It was too dark, too sad, too...idk, I wanted to scream for things to just go the way I wanted!
Roag was...a serious bad guy...like really. Bad. Damn. I was cringing.
Shade, I wanted to slap the shit out of him and then I wanted to cuddle him.
Runa was good, she was strong and sweet and not irritating--yay her!
Wraith--I want one.
Kynan--I want one.
Interested to read Wraith's story and to keep up with the series but I need a bit of a break, it was pretty intense, it just never let up.

This series rocks, what took me so long to read it?! Loving the characters, the world, the sexiness, and the action- so good it must be a sin! I wasn't into Shade much before this book- he was a jerk and a womanizer, comes with the territory of being an incubus I suppose, but still not a very likable guy. Runa, however, I liked immediately- hell hath no fury like a woman scorned and I knew she was going to make him pay for dissing her! She did much more than that, of course, and he was a changed man at the end. It's a general storyline I love: hard-a@@ jerk of a man cracked by a tough, take no crap woman!

Also liking the secondary characters and hoping for Gem and Kynan to get their HEA and Luc to find someone.

The only reason I deducted 0.5 stars is because I'm trying to be more selective in giving out 5 stars- it's very difficult for me to be critical though! If a book entertains me and the I like the characters then I'm a happy camper!
