This one took me far too long. It was weird but almost redeemed itself in the end. (Ebook)

50 % of the plot just felt pointless by the end didn't need to be this long.

I loved Birthday Girl so much that I jumped onto Credence!
There is something that appeals to me in forbidden and taboo stories ... but there should be a solid “story” to keep me hooked and this is what I didn’t find in Credence...
A group of broken people trying to heal in their weird ways yet I couldn’t connect with them and didn’t feel their “bond”. I didn’t understand the purpose of this book.
I went in knowing that the girl would have many partners in the same household and it didn’t bother me, on the contrary it was intriguing, but it is the way things happened that made me feel detached from the story: they were somehow irrational and I couldn’t understand certain behavior, especially the girl’s.
Something was missing and it was too long.
On the positive side the steamy parts were extremely good!
I know I am in the minority here but I wanted to be honest with how I felt.
Penelope Douglas is an author I love, and disliking one of her books doesn’t mean I won’t read her others!
