I really liked the dynamic between Jasper and Sloane — their long history made the story feel both familiar and exciting, and I loved how respectful Jes was of her. This book felt more unique than Flawless and Heartless because of that deep friendship-turned-romance. Jasper was softer than expected, though still struggling to see how loved he truly was, and Sloane’s arc was about breaking free from unhealthy relationships and finally making her own choices. The pacing dragged a bit towards the end, but overall I enjoyed it.

Welp. I read this in a sitting officially breaking my "I'll only read 50 pages per day" promise. I really enjoyed this one. Both Jasper and Sunny were a delight. Sloane and Jasper have been friends since they were kids. Through thin and thick, they've stuck around for each other. So when Sloane's engagement plummets and Jasper's career is on the verge of collapse, they'll have to rely on each other more than ever.

Kind of feel like hearing about their traumas a little bit more would've given the story a little more depth but like we go barely under the surface (which is okay I mean I'm very reserved myself). I must say that Sunny is definitely stronger than I am because I might not end up getting engaged to an a** but like iI wouldn't put myself out there as much.

i just knew jasper was a freak

Easy read, liked it but nothing special
