I'm in love with Jasper Gervais.

No, I thought I loved Heartless, but THIS????? Apparently I like my men wounded 😫 Sloane is a badass, and a ballerina?? literally speaking to my soul here Elsie. Seeing the sensitive and tortured side to a MMC is always refreshing and I really just loved Jasper so much.

All of these characters make me laugh, and it's so nice to get bits and pieces of all of them 🥹 Willa is still fucking hysterical, and Harvey is the GOAT.

I really had no idea I would love this series as much as I do, but I am eating up every single page. I am so excited to continue this series with my bookclub!

Honestly, it was cute, but I think—with the amount of heavy domineering smut that just isn't my cup of tea along with the references to the gold rush series I haven't read yet—I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. The trope is also one I'm not very fond of...mutual pining but neither can admit their feelings. It's so frustrating to read. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed reading this book, Jasper and Sloane's story, and the way they are with each other. I really do adore them <3

Loved this part of the series and the focus on found family. I love how Elsie Silver will allude to the next books throughout the series. It made so much sense why Jasper behaved the way he did in the series with the background we were given. This was such a cute story and loved both MCs.
