I wish this book was longer, since I will miss many of the great characters in this funny, well written book. I absolutely loved it. Lauren is an artist who creates unique pottery, has three kids and a loving but quirky husband, Leo. The family lives in a funky brownstone in Greenwich Village. When Felicity offers to showcase her work in her stores and on her popular design program, Lauren agrees and somehow becomes involved in advising Felicity on her affair with a married man. Melinda, the wife of Felicity’s lover, is an angry woman, seeking revenge on both Felicity and Lauren. Enter Olivia, another great character, Evelyn, Lauren’s uptight mother, and the unique character Philip, Leo’s Dad, and you have an hysterical mix of friends and family. I can’t recommend this book enough for giving me a break from the problems of the world. Thanks to a Edelweiss for the opportunity.

I found this utterly delightful. I love a quirky cast of characters, even if many of the plot points were ridiculous. It was just what I needed these days.

This is a story about family, both blood and chosen family.
A part of me wants to live in that crowded Waverly Place brownstone with this interesting cast of quirky entertaining characters. I loved Lauren and Leo's disorganized family. It was so entertaining to see how the lives of Lauren, Melinda, Felicity, and Olivia all intersect and come together. They are all relatable, flawed, and unique characters. The chaos and trouble that their decisions and actions lead to were so relatable. This book had humor, forgiveness, self-discovery, revenge, family and finding what you really want in life. It was light, funny, absolutely adorable.

Includes:
-found family
-multiple POVs
-New York setting
