Honestly didn’t really feel like a super satisfying conclusion here as to the revealed secret behind the tower. I suppose it would have to be something of that nature all along, but for such a fascinating world, I don’t know, expected more. Overall though, while this was a weaker book than the other 3, still definitely a series worth reading.

This one is hard to rate because I did enjoy 90% of it. The issue may have been i was reaching fatigue by the end and didn't feel as invested in some of the characters as I was previously. It ends in some interesting ways and some of which feel unique and fresh. However, it opens up more questions than it answers and left me feeling a little empty but not particularly ravenous for a follow up entry. Kinda wanted to see it done, and I think it might be. Endings are hard.

For a story about a rescuing relationship, we probably spend 30 pages of the whole series with the two characters together. It really was the least interesting bit of the story. Just give me a book about Byron, Iren, Voleta, Reddleman, Edith, and Tom sailing the world.

This series is unlike any other I recall. It's original, unique, and full of wonders, discoveries, fights, and epiphanies. Highly recommended
