Fields of science intersect to piece together the explanation for mysterious underwater events. Biologists studying dolphin communication, geologists in Antarctica, and military technology specialists are brought together when a submarine has an inexplicable data reading. Things go south quickly when the politicians get involved, but the scientists are smarter. I liked the interaction of the science and the fast pace. What they found under the water was a surprise to me, and I look forward to reading more in book two.

I loved the part where the dolphins communicate with the researchers. Rest of the story is ok. I plan to finish next 2 books in this series too.

Did not hold up on second reading. Was hoping to finish the series as I remembered being intrigued by the first book. Communication with dolphins?!?Intrigued. Human aliens?!?. Tell me more! Usually love when science fiction writers take big bold swings at incorporating fringe science into stories set in current day or near future. The characters are great but the story just kind of lost momentum halfway through and the bold swing didn’t seem so bold. Probably won’t continue with the series. Those dolphins were awesome though.
I wish this story was a nonfiction it was so good!!! I just wish we could have more scenes with the dolphines because that was so interesting!!
