Such an adorable read!

4.5 stars

I really enjoyed reading this. I was already caught by the blurb, but when it became who the main couple would be, I was even more intrigued.

I really liked the organicness of the relationship between the main characters. I loved the family dynamic around Lily and her friendship with Isabel. I did like Cade as a character as well. I liked the pace of the story, and that final last moment of drama, though it felt unnecessary and a little too shortlived for me, I was glad it was over quickly. I like that although there is a hint of liking through the letters, it never felt like either mains started really falling into deep like until after they'd learned the identity of the other (which as you know, was part of my gripe with other similar anonymous letter/text exchange stories I've read lately).

Things that are slightly questionable about the book? There aren't many! I will address however, there's bullying. Or there's not? The only hard bullying I could see was from Sasha. She was downright a b****. Cade on the other hand, I can see it can be read as bullying. And yes, some of what he did was hurtful and somewhat mean to the one affected. But at other times, it did look like he was genuinely trying to help someone out. But it's no surprise that Lily thought the way she had.

Overall, I did really enjoy this book. More than the Fill-In Boyfriend. I felt Lily was a much more relatable character.

I liked this book way more than I thought I would!!

This.made.me.so.happy

I wanted to give this book 4 or 5 stars - it was great up until the very end - why did it end like that??????? I was ticked off by the ending. Can I rant about the ending some more? I enjoyed the rest of the book it was cute and fun and sweet - but then........ ruined .. I can't give it less than 3-4 stars because I did enjoy the rest of it.

DAMN YOU ENDING .. that's all

Wow. Just wow.
Sucked me in.
I stayed up until 3:30 in the morning two nights in a row because I could not put it down. The book is predictable in the same way chick flicks are, but it still captivated me. The main character is hilarious, her family is adorable, and the story line is incredibly engaging!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT

Oh my gosh, never had a book made me smile as much as this one did! I was smiling so hard lol. Ugh and Cade had my heart. Like literally.

Plot - It’s a pretty good plot, it’s was hooked me in the beginning.

Characters - I loved all the characters except Sasha. She was so annoying. Also Lucas reminded me of CMM on OTH

Romance - Man, this love story was good. Of course it was predictable, but still good nonetheless.

Overall - A good, easy read. I finished it in one day lol

5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Also I really enjoyed the author!!

Lately, I hadn’t been super impressed by Kasie West’s books. I really enjoyed her first one and moderately enjoyed the next one, but she’s had a few that I just really didn’t connect with. This one was different. A lot of times I find the enemies to lovers trope a little tiresome, unrealistic, or cliche. Luckily, this one broke the mold a little for me. I thought both characters were pretty fun and I really liked Lily’s family. Her interactions with them seemed so genuine and her parents really just seemed like some of the coolest people. I definitely recommend picking this one up. 4/5
