This was a cute, campy cowboy romance and it was exactly what I needed after struggling to find a book for awhile. I feel like a burned myself out on nonfic in the spring and this was a great gateway book to get back into reading. Of course there were lots of eye rolling moments, but the characters were likeable and the story was sweet.

SUMMARY: Done and Dusted by Lyla Sage is book one of the Rebel Blue Ranch series. Emmy (Clementine) Ryder is a famous and successful horse racer who moves back to her small hometown in Wyoming after an accident that shakes her confidence. Luke Brooks owns the local bar and is Emmy's big brother's best friend. He has always done his best to be a pain in her @ss. After not seeing each other for years, both Emmy and Luke are surprised when sparks fly each time they are together. When Luke helps Emmy through a tough situation, Emmy begins to trust the town's most notorious bachelor. Can Emmy and Luke overcome their pasts to create a future? Will Emmy's big brother get in the way of their budding relationship?

REVIEW: Done and Dusted by Lyla Sage is an addictive, feel good rom com. The characters and storyline are sweet enough to give you a cavity and leave you smiling a mile wide. There is little to no angst or drama throughout -- just a lot of feel good moments sprinkled with witty and hilarious banter. The plot is predictable but in an enjoyable way that does not disappoint. Although the main characters are great and carry the story on their own, the side characters are also AMAZING. The author does a fabulous job of making you care about Emmy's family and best friend. So much so that I cannot wait to read the next books in the series just so I can learn about their HEAs too!

Overall I highly recommend this small town romance. Done and Dusted does an excellent job of blending a cheery story with authentic emotional connections. The sweetness of this forbidden romance between a strong willed FMC and sweet bad boy is delightfully heartwarming and should be enjoyed by all.
