Surprisingly this has been my favorite of the wayfarers series so far. It felt like a contemplative exploration of a beautiful human society. I felt hopeful when reading this book. Where it lacks in plot and action, I personally feel like more than makes up for with deep connections between characters and a compassionate message.

I didn't love it as much as the first 2. Maybe because it focused more on the humans and less on the alien species and the AI--which is what I enjoyed most in the first two books.
