I am in love with the Wayfairer books. This one was all about the human society on the Exodus ships. There wasn't really a plot, more like points that allowed exposition and Chambers amazing world building to shine. I wasn't especially attached to any of the characters and kept confusing all the female characters. It didn't matter though because I kept wanting to learn more and more about the society in general.

I loved how all of the perspectives related to one another, albeit confusing to keep track of everyone in the beginning. Chambers writes a very unique take on science fiction while also tying in philosophical concepts and emotional connections to characters and I just love that!

This book along with A Closed and Common Orbit have similar themes and yet are vastly different stories, but definitely not plot driven like The Long Way To A Small Angry Planet. Take these books as they are, do not expect action packed sci fi from these
