These books always seem to rip my heart out in a wonderful way
Ok, review time... What do I say ?...
I loved this book more as I neared the end, however I didn't like it as much as the beginning of the series.
Instead of a novel with a plot, we have a series of short stories from different view points. While it's not exactly a surprise when you know Becky Chambers's style, this time it was really fragmented and not all view points were of equal interest. I could relate to Tessa as a mother of two, yet that's all. Sawyer was a nice guy, but not very bright, etc. I was more interested in Isobel's story and that strange way (but that made sense) of dealing with corpses.
Not my favourite, but still a wonderful series anyway.

I love Becky Chambers. She is an incredibly talented writer and I will read anything she writes. That being said, this third installment of the Wayfarer series didn’t pack the punch I was looking for. The book follows the daily lives of multiple characters at different stages of life that are living in the Fleet, a group of spaceships established by Earthen humans when the planet became unlivable. The book is a reflection about motivations that cause someone to seek, leave, stay, and/or return home.
I enjoyed the underlying themes of the story, but there wasn’t enough happening in terms of plot or character development to keep me engaged. I’m glad I read this, but definitely prefer the first two books in the series.

Slow burn to the characters storylines crossing.
I just enjoy spending time with Chambers writing style.
