it was strange but very good. the writing style was very creative and unique. this book makes you think a lot, i like it.
It’s a weird book, but reading how they all lived made me quite sad.
nichts was ich erwartet hätte als ich das buch angefangen habe aber ich kann mich echt nicht beschweren. ich fand es tatsächlich ganz cool auch wenn ich einiges nicht ganz verstanden habe.

This was a fun, quick read. Even in the short, choppy chapters, Brautigan managed to establish an emotional connection between the reader and the characters which is rare and I love it when that happens.

quite a dreamy, poetry-like writing that takes you to a completely different place where everything feels more harmonious, but at the same such a gloomy book, with characters who drag you to this atmosphere which almost feels like a subway station at three am?
overall, even if i can't find the words to fully describe this book, i can say that i was a delightful read to kick off my 2021 reading challenge, woud totally recommend it

This is a book I will need to read and annotate. I listened on Audible and am so intrigued to analysis it in print now. The sass of the characters rally puts it up a level, and the casual world building is beautiful. I have a love/hate relationship with the narrator/main character at the moment but that could change.
