Absolutely loved it. Second only to dean
What a ride!!
This book was a freaking masterpiece. Every little clue that Sophie had weaved into her books came together perfectly. I was about 13% in when the puzzle pieces clicked together and then I had to go back and read the beginning again- crying my eyes out. I was on the edge of my seat several times throughout this book. The drama- the action- the steam= all on point.
I would give this book more than five stars if I could.
And the ending was absolute perfection. It had me tearing up more

The worst of this series to date. Read book 3 and leave it
Best book of the series, hands down. Like, I cannot put into words how fucking much I loved this. I devoured it, like I did the rest of the books, but in comparison to the other ones I didn’t get annoyed at any part of this. It felt well paced, the mystery had me fucking swept up in the story, I cried, I laughed, I got a sense of closure at the end.
There’s one more Kingmakers book left, but that was sort of an addition: originally, this was supposed to be the last one and you can tell. The fact that all our beloved characters get to go on this adventure together is perfect. The multiple epilogues are perfect. I love them all so fucking much, every single one of them. With every book, I adored them more.
The revelation about who the spy is was amazing. I saw it coming, in parts, and also got completely blindsided. It was perfect, too. Honestly, can you tell I’m utterly enamored with this book? I’m so so sad to have finished it, as much as I was racing through. And I’m not ready to say goodbye to this entire world and all the characters in just one more book. Why did you have to suck me in like this, Sophie Lark?! Have mercy on me, I’m so invested.
I don’t think the Savage will top this reading experience so I’ll announce now already that this is my favorite Sophie Lark, my favorite Kingmakers book, my favorite book from the entire universe. I’ve read 12 (!!!) books leading up to it and it did not disappoint. God.
I won’t say any more, nothing about the actual story, because otherwise I would have to spoiler tag this review and I don’t wanna do that but just. Omg. I cried and I laughed, I’m heartbroken und I’m joyful, I’m feeling way too fucking much right now.
I love these families so much

Wow. Just wow. Sophie has done it. She has made me speechless.
This book was an accumulation of everything that has been building in the past three books in this series. If you thought that things started to unravel in The Bully, then you will see that everything explodes in They Spy.
I do not want to spoil anything for anyone, so I will not be saying who the Spy really is, because that just makes evyerhing 10x more exciting when you find out. I will say that Nix, the FMC was amazing. Her spirit and fight is something that I love seeing in FMCs. And they put her together with The Spy, ugh my heart both exploded with tension but also love. They were two sides of the same coin, and I loved seeing how they individually had to navigate their relationship. Also, the sexual tension was out of this world, in more ways than one (which I enjoyed reading about).
ALSO, WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT THE PLOT. Holy crap Sophie, I thought she was good but not this good. The plot of this book exploded with intrigue, lies, and action. And I will say that the big conflict at the end was the best I think that Sophie has written by far.
Also, that epilogue was perfect. It gave us an update on all out kingmaker characters, but it still left a *little* room for more...or at least I can hope (PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SOPHIE DON'T CLOSE THIS WOLRD FOR GOOD). This was the perfect ending to this series....I cannot wait to see what Sophie writes next :)

this series has been better than i ever could’ve imagined. i love the way the families are intertwined & that sophie lark continued the stories from her previous collections. the closure i got from this ending is unmatched… on to the last book!!!
I am almost speechless as I process this beautiful, intense journey. I want to scream at the top of my lungs about it all while not spoiling a single thing. So, this review will be pretty vague because this journey has been building up since book one and it blew my mind to pieces then had my heart in my throat the whole time. This book took me on a ride one second, I was shocked, the next falling in love, then back to having my heart in my throat and stomach dropping out. I was all over the place, but in the best way possible. The author has created this world that I want to be a part of, I want to be in thick of it with the characters, even if it could be dangerous, I am so down to have their backs. The characters are beyond amazing, strong, resilient, and just perfectly flawed. With so many twists, turns, ups, and downs I just was overwhelmed with amazement because how genius is this author to make this world so realistic, dangerous, yet lovable!!! I can’t get enough of these stories, couples, friends, just everything. I can’t even mention the main storyline or the main characters because that will give the readers way too much to go on and this is a read that everyone needs to go into blind to get the full effect of this world and the fierceness of love.
As some of you may know this book is not like the others and so with that there is not much I can say. I can tell you that this book is about a family seeking revenge one of them being the spy and along the way one of them falls in love with the insurance. The spy has been at Kingmakers for 3 years now, gathering information, planning & biding their time until this new come arrives for their freshman year (Nix) a bit sheltered a bit not is heir to her fathers empire. She knows her father is powerful but what she doesn’t know is that he is the most frowned upon my all the other mafia families because his actions have all be foul and he’s a boy unhinged. She attends kingmakers completely blinded and her year starts out very hard. The spy should hate her because she is his mark but he can’t help fall in love with her…
The ride? Was a ducking FANTASTIC ONE. This book was everything to me. It starts out perfectly setting the tone and taking us back in time, yes there are flashbacks in here but I promise they are barable if you know me you know I hate them as well but they’re so important to the story that you’ll be anxiously waiting for the next one.
I think this plot might have been my favorite one because my brain never stopped working throughout this book. At every turn I was putting pieces together and well as swoony over the perfectly put together friends to lovers story ever. The spark and fire between the spy and Nix was undoubtedly HOT. Can I also say there was some girl on girl action here and I squealed?! Fuck this book was everything.
All of our veterans from this series showed up in the book at the perfect time and that ending?! EVERYTHING. I actually sobbed when it was over because honest to God I’m so attached to these people like legit they’re my friends. We are went to Kingmakers together. I’m really really sad that it’s over and I really wish I could take my memory away so that I could read it all again. Sophie, you deserve an award, lots of money, orgasms and happiness for this work of art. I am in awe of how and you meticulously put this body of work together. Thank you truly for this.
