I really liked this book! I felt like this one had the most mafia vibes of them all. Like they still incorporated the Kingmakers aspect but you were thrust into the world of espionage, deception, and love. Told from multiple points of view. I also like how the ending really showcased the life of the seniors post graduation especially since we won’t get to conclude their stories (I’m assuming they won’t be in the last book). I liked how each ending was cohesive and affirming of the respective couples stories. I also loved the conflict in the end, especially how everyone worked together. Overall, I really liked this book.

We did not get enough apology/explanation from MMC before FMC made her decision. I refuse to believe Nix wouldn't have needed a little bit more from MMC before making her choice. Especially with how she was treated and what happened in the final moments. We get flashes of her being 'torn' but not enough time or exploration. What about her battle with trusting her own judgement? It never came up again.

Loved it i had guessed who the spy was but not everything that went with it. Loved Ares/Rafe and Nix story. But Sophie Lark did mix up jer normally style with this book in series with flashbacks to rafes dad qhich added and extra twist to the story and understanding
