A solid 4 stars for Fix Her Up. A very steamy book about a childhood crushed turned adult reality. Classic fake dating set up filed with lots of spice. I would have given 4.5 stars if Travis hadn’t constantly called Georgie “baby girl”. Made me cringe every time.

Couldn't put this down, honestly. A little repetitive (and sudden, tbh) with the 'baby girl's but I really loved the softness between the two MCs.

There were so many things I hated about this book. How the sisters treat Kristin, the „baby girl“ nickname, Trevor’s even worse nickname, how he constantly
talked about „owning“ Georgie and other misogynistic language, the ending!
but in the end it was a compelling romance and I’ll probably be reading the rest of the series in as a guilty pleasure.

Cute little story but would not re-read
Could not get on board with the pet names and praise kink but I trust Tessa Bailey to write great romance novels, she always gives space for female empowerment and pockets of really funny dialogue, definitely interested in reading the spin off with Rosie and Dominic

I’m a sucker for a sports romance novel. I loved the *steamy* romance between Travis and Georgie, even though it’s a trope I usually don’t go for (forbidden romance). It also is a fake dating trope, too, which I LOVE. I just really liked this one and can’t wait to read the next in the series! I removed a star because I am SO OVER the miscommunication/secret keeping storyline in romance novels. Come on, no one miscommunicates THAT MUCH!

→ Things I Liked: humor, great chapter lengths, genuine chemistry

→ Things I Disliked: miscommunication/secret keeping trope
