J.R. Ward knows how to keep you totally thrilled by her books. Even though you find multiple little stories of different character within one big stories and all those have a "meet-and-greet" at the end.
From book to book you get deeper inside the Black Dagger Brotherhood. In "Lover Avanged" the main focus is Rehvenge's life, past and present. We all have our little secrets we don't even wanna tell our partners, because we know this could destroy anything. But with Rehvenges' secret past and keeping it from his sister Bella and his love, to protect both of them. Also keeping away information about his "business" life for the same reason. Sometimes you past crosses your way again, especially when your information are in the hands of your "enemies". Unfortunately he failed in keeping it away from his love and he knows it breaks her heart, he only sees one solution to keep the pain and shame away from his sister. His death. But is he really dead?
Also we are able to get closer into the feelings for each other of John and Xhex. One is already a wrack, if it comes to love and tenderness. The other one becomes heart-broken and cold lover, who will never ever get to close to others.

as i get farther in this series, it's getting quite rare to have a complete romance in one book. some relationships start a few books before " their book ", making it impossible to reread only my favorite books and get a complete story. thankfully, it was not the case with this one.
Rehv has been around since book one and played a minor role in previous books and there was still so much we didn't know about him. He's not good, he's done bad things, he's still hurting himself trying to hide his nature. but he's interesting to see fall in love.
Ehlena is first introduced in this book, working at the clinic and being the only one not affraid to treat Rehv. They're good together, this was an enjoyable one. They're not from the same world, but they work.

There is so much to this story that it is a Must Read.
The suspense is high octane.
Things with the Lessers/Omega are going nuts.
No one is safe.
Then there is Lash, the Omega's son.
Not to mention all the other characters & relationships going on.
The intimate scenes in this one can scorch the air you breath!
The suspense will make you gasp with & cringe.
Other than Wrath's story, this is my favorite.
Hands down!

There isn't much to say about this one: Ward just keeps getting better and better. This wasn't my favorite in the series 'cos I wasn't able to really get too interested in sympaths, but Rehvenge and Ehlena's love story is to die for, and even though some bad things within the brotherhood keep happening, they get through it.
I really want John Matthew and Tohrment to be okay again. Hopefully in Lover Mine!

I started this out not really liking Rehv but by the end of it he is one of my favorites.
I really connected more to the characters and loved the book. The only issue I had was some parts were quite fluffy and had too much description. I did a little skimming at some point. I did learnt to enjoy Rhevs character which I never thought I would. Onto the next!
