It's one of my favourite fiction book. Putting aside the sex and stuff, the development of the characters was so beautiful. I loved both the characters. My favourite book from the series as well..
Omg. Lot of characters and plenty of action. Perhaps my favourite so far. There was way more on this one than the love between h/H which has seemed to be quite distinctive in the previous ones. Well, I loved. No need to say more.
I don't think I realized how much I missed the core of this series until after I read this book. Ward is getting back to her old self now that she's gotten two really crazy books out of the way. Not that I don't love Vishous or Phury, but their stories didn't captivate me like Rehv's.
I internally cringed when I finally purchased the hard back version, but B&N informed me it would be another year or more before the paperback was coming out since the book was just released in April. I was prepared to wait at least 6 months since the original release, but a year or more is a bit much.
I actually put down another paranormal romance book to read this... boy was I glad I did.
Rehvenge has never been a particular favorite of mine, but I've always respected the decisions that he's had to make; for the club, for his family and to protect his identity. But the greatest quality in Ward's writing is that she can usually take a character that not everyone enjoys and through writing, you end up totally loving that character in the end. That was how Rehv was for me.
After getting through all 527 pages of this book, I constantly thought back to Lover Awakened (which is by far my favorite) being as Revh starts as a complete hard ass and ends up coming into his own with the help of Ehlena. Not that Zsadist and Revhenge have the same story highs and lows, but they both overcome a lot of deep emotions within themselves and with others to come out as a better person in the end of the book.
If you pick up this book thinking that it's only about Revh, you are in for a huge surprise. All of the brothers and their shellans (except maybe two) are back, bringing all of their comedy and "brotherly love" with them. I enjoyed all of the many subplots Ward included in this book, Wrath and Beth being the most prominent as well as Xhex and John Matthew and Tohr and Lassiter. I can't wait to see how those last two subplots make it into future books.
Some of my favorite scenes, without giving too much spoiler detail, would have to be Revh and his mahmen and the phone call after to Ehlena, when Ehlena calls Xhex after she opens the safe, and the scene where the Brothers team up with the girls to head to the colony.
If you had a hard time getting through the last two books from this series, I do suggest you pick this one up to give it another shot. Ward goes back to the basic nature that made the first few books so good. Even though Revhenge is flawed in many ways, I'm pretty sure you'll come out loving him in the end.

Whoa. Amazing cliff-hanger ending, and the perfect setup for the next book, which should be one of the better. And if nobody kills Lash soon, I'll find a way to do it myself! Jerk.
Now THAT was a good mob related story!!
One would think that, by now I would be a little bored following their (BDB) everyday life and drama that unfolds. Obviously they have never read anything like this freaking awesome series!

Reread. This series started to pick back up with this story. New characters and species are being brought so it's not as predictable. I just love the brotherhood, the way they intertwine and start to feel like an old friend.
Rehvenge and Elhena where amazing characters. I loved Rehv's half blood even though I did get tired of hearing "His sympath side" over and over. It made him very interestingly dangerous. Elhena was strong and unbroken though she had been cast out by the society she didn't let it phase her. Very very sexy scenes in which Rehv's halfblood made it even more so.
This seires is very male heavy in which they are the muscle and the women take care of them when they get home. So it was so exciting to see Xhex step up and show them girl's can kick ass too. She has always been far in the background but stood out well in this book and has become a favorite of mine. The way she bantered with the brothers lol I was like y'all need move her into the mansion like yesterday. Oh the way she hides her Sympath side so damn sexy.
Of course how can I forget the background characters. The king Wrath went thru a lot in this story and to see the way he got back on his feet made me so happy I can't wait to see more of Payne❤❤❤. Xhex and John's feuds were so heartbreaking. I really felt the deadness in his eyes with all that has happend. Also Z and Bella I will clutch on to any info I get on those two lol.
I'm really getting back into this seires and want to finish it. I just have become so invested in this family. Iv cried and laughed with them so much.

Loved this. The first since book 3 in the series that I was just as, if not more interested in the main couple's storyline, not just the sub-plots that were going on. My faith in the series has been restored, bravo!
