Slow-burn.

Only remark: I expected the protagonist to be a bit wittier and spicier, but considering everything's relatively new to her, I will simply move past it and pray she grows a brain in the books to come. (Also, apparently there are lots of things wrong with the Italian cultural representation.)

To be fair, I actually listened to this one as an audiobook and i hate to say it but the narration wasn’t for me. This led to me not rewinding each night after going to sleep before the end of my timer (hope that makes sense- at least to anyone with audible!) so while I did finish the book technically, I missed some of it. So not a DNF but might have been had I been reading a physical copy. Again, I should note that this may be down to narrator and/or me missing something from skipping parts (although I didn’t skip that much).

Deeply disappointed
Wrath was kinda saving the situation
I like the idea but I don’t think it was delivered well
Poorly written in my opinion
Main character was unbelievably dumb at some point
An actual cookbook in the first half of the book
Sort of a boring read I won’t lie
