this book was definitely world building and structuring for the plot arc that’s going to happen over the next two books. I rated this a 4.5 because I wish Tessa stayed true to herself. How can you expect others to love you if you don’t love yourself? I’m confident this isn’t forever & lord am I HAPPY she got her lick back it was just blah. Nonetheless, I’m eager to start book 3 tomorrow only to be devastated until November!

Okay, now we are getting the full does of dragons, witches, gods/goddesses, demigods, and everything else. The main female lead is broken and broken down until she gains the strength that's been there all along. There is more romance and scenes compared to the first book. There is more action is this book, with more settings, more characters, more plot reveals, and all for a bigger purpose that the main male lead hasn't exactly detailed out yet. It is hard to be on board for his plan if all I know is that its for the kingdom and to save it from his father's grasp. I did NOT enoy the introduction of the other potential 'love' interest. I will not declare it a love triangle or love interest yet at this point because of the complications and because that was just not what I expected. I did not ship lol so please stop giving me that anxiety. Honestly I love Theon! He's only done things to help her. Axel is giving more perspective in this book and although I see that others enjoy him as a side character, I don't really care for his story. Looking forward to reading the next book!

This was better than the first book, pacing felt better, but I’m still getting frustrated with Theon and Tessa’s relationship. Will still carry on though as I want to see what happens

My fave characters are Axel, Kat and Luca. I love Axel and Kat’s relationship 🥹 Definitely hoping to see more of that in future books

4.25🌟 feel so much more invested in the series after this one!! such a complex story which makes me feel a bit dumb at times but that's because there's so much going on. plot pacing was perfect and all the different povs, i was so entertained. all of the characters have so much growth still to do and i love that

i loved this book but felt the random character development was so random and rushed and had no basis

I was so confused through out the whole damn book. It’s like an episode of scooby doo except you don’t know what the fuck is going on.
