Felt the actual action plot was a little slow - but even with that, the pages flew by!! Absolutely devoured this!

I’m loving the side characters & the more depth/development being given too.

Genuinely, I loved this book. Still lowkey hate Tessa, but the supporting cast (Luka, Axel, Katya, Scarlett, Lange & Corbin) make up for it. Notice how I didn’t include Theon lol. I loved how much more information I got out of this book compared to the first one. The first one literally killed me inside. This one did show redemption for that, as well as plot. The plot was plotting. Also I knew Valter was behind the Augury so I would like to give a shout out to myself.

Like I said, this one slayed down. I accepted and embraced the headache that is Tessa, so thus just sitting back and enjoying the sinister train wreck that girl is. Like I said - SLAY!!!!

I really enjoy this author. The funny recaps at beginning of the books as narrated by Cyrus, but also Scarlett and Cassius (?) is too good. I love them so much

⭐ 2/5

Y'all have booktok brain rot. I have never been more tired of a group of characters in my life. They make the same mistakes, have the same arguments, and refuse to grow in any meaningful way. Every interaction felt like déjà vu—just recycled drama with no resolution. Only giving 2 stars for the last 100 pages.

This is one I could NOT put down. I was able to put the first one down. Not this one. It’s so good. I’m incredibly excited to see what happens next ❤️❤️❤️!!

The narration when it would switch from the male to female narrator felt off... they portrayed the characters differently and I couldn't get over that. I couldn't stay focused on the book so I feel like I missed information (or just got bored) but the parts that pulled me back in just made me confused.
Ending was good.
The FMC is taking back control with her chaos, so that made me feel better.

Same icks as with the first book in the series but the main twist and the way it played out doesn’t deserve less than 4 ⭐️s

mmmmm still not a big fan of the mmc. maybe, just maybe, the next book has some redeeming points for him, bc wow.
i’m liking the story and i’m enjoying plot twists and changes. this book ends on a cliffhanger and i am just waiting on the edge of my seat for book 3 to be ready on libby (hehe). i dove straight into book 2 after book 1, so writing the first book’s review was a little tricky with trying to remember where book 1 ended and book 2 started. big cliffhanger in that one too.
rooting for the fmc and i’m very interested in how the story ends in the last book. stay tuned for that!!!
one of the things i wish was better done was pacing. the first two books of the series takes place in a matter of 2-3 months, and i would’ve liked a longer timeframe.
