Incredible world building and I love the small tie ins to the Lady of Darkness realm and characters. Quite heavy/dark at times but a good read.

FINALLY done with this book. This book didn’t need to be so damn long (over 600 pages!!!). It’s very repetitive and I’ve lost track of the gods/royals/realms. I keep hoping Theon proves everyone wrong and isn’t a selfish controlling asshole; but that’s not the case throughout the book. Also not a fan of MFM/reverse harem tropes so I probably won’t finish the series at this point. Especially if it’s two more books tipping towards 1000 pages with repetitive scenarios. The only thing saving this book was adding in axels POV

3 stars is generous but at least I liked the ending of this book. 
Every single one of characters and now so do I. WTAF is going on here?
Am I supposed to like Tessa? Because I don’t. Up until the last 1/4 of the book she was still acting like a petulant child. I said it in book 1 and I’ll say it again I understand this poor girl is traumatized but stand TF up girl. You know you can but you don’t until you snap. 
Am I supposed to be swooning over Theon? Absolutely not because he’s such a dick and not in a banter-y hot kind of way. I mean a literal dick. He’s constantly an asshole to Tessa and pretty much emotionally abusing her and then expects her to put out because of the bond. 

Redeeming parts:
- Axel and Kat. I hope the author doesn’t fuck up the potential romance between these two. I really enjoy them together. 
- Tessa and Luka? PLEASE let this progress to something more I beg of you. At least Luka has the emotional bandwidth to express his complicated feelings. 
-Tessa’s villain character arc. It’s about goddamn time.
