4 stars because I hate Theon but Tessa finally puts him in his place. Also I love luka. Theon can cease to exist for all I care. I honestly hope she tears the whole realm apart. They deserve it.

I really don’t understand how this book is so hyped up on booktok. The MMC is so manipulative and disgusting in how he treats her and uses her. Then he acts so high and mighty about how he has no choice and she should be thankful it’s him doing this instead of someone else. Very woe is me.

I get this is a darker romance but I just couldn’t find anything redeeming in him and it just kept making me madder and madder the more I read. I know everyone says it gets better in the next book but I just can’t put myself through more of that.
