A fast-paced read with old and new characters. I really like the worlds within worlds aspect of this story. A door isn't ever really a door.

This book was a solid follow-up to The Wren in the Holly Library. The mystery was a definite highlight, and I was pleased to find out my guess about the Curator was correct.

I think the book would have been more impactful if it had been told from Kierse's 1st person POV. I felt a bit of a disconnect without access to her inner thoughts and monologue.

I have such mixed feelings on this book. Overall, I enjoyed seeing more of Gen and meeting Niamh, Lorcan’s Robin™. I tend to agree with Kierse that Ethan, at least in the beginning, was drinking the Druid cool-aid, trusting them more than things his friend was saying. I thought I was team Lorcan up until the very end,
and then he did something’s that just felt a little out of character and it gave me the ick.
We get a little more details on Graves in this book too, and there is still something about him that also gives me the ick, I just don’t trust that he isn’t poking around in Kierse’s head and influencing her in some way. Essentially, the only guy that didn’t give the ick was Nate,
and well, so much for him. His death gutted me a little-

Not surprised at all that Jason is coming back around, but 100% feel that his continued presence, especially given the reveals from this book really diminish any growth that Kierse had as it related to her past

Still deciding if i want to continue with the series, but outlook not so good.

Meh. I think I'm done with this series. Between the over the top sex scenes and the majorly depressing story line, I am just over this story. I'm also pretty sure I've figured out where this all ends. 🫤
