I really liked hearing the success stories of direct action.
I have this on order from Haymarket. The physical copy will no doubt be rated higher than the audiobook. The reader is good -- don't get me wrong -- but my experience has been that generally nonfiction books work better in print, while fiction, depending on the reader, is more enjoyable as audio.
It's a good handbook on how to handle the human equation in social activism, and deserves a place on my bookshelf. I'm looking forward to receiving it.

I will definitely be using this in some of my courses moving forward. I love how they lay out complex topics through a menace of we can collectively do something about all of this. Hope is the most radical act.

Well written and timely, but not for me. This is aimed at people who are already imvedded in protest movements, I think.

Let This Radicalize You is a how to guide to organizing. Written in the tail end of 2020, it offers words of advice both lofty and practical from some of the organizers of most anti-carceral movements from the past few decades. As an appreciated and reader of other Kaba books, I found Let This Radicalize You to be so practical, offering advice from how to organize, the importance of broadening any movement, and advice for rest. Most importantly, it continued to focus on (as does a lot of Kaba’s work) on the importance of hope, of hope as an action and a muscle. Unfortunately, Hayes and Kaba’s book is perhaps even more relevant than it has ever been and should be mandatory reading for anyone considering organizing in today’s world.
I expected something different I think. There's a lot of great info and I loved the stories of organizers. However, I found it to be vague and I wish there were more examples of the change that comes from organizing. Like actual stats.
