This is my first Amy Lea book, and I've been excited to read this series. Set On You is a curvy fitness influencer meets a fireman at the gym. He falls first, she still has trust issues from her ex and doesn't want to be his rebound too, but their grandparents are getting married so they are continually in each other's orbits and become fast friends. The third act breakup was a little frustrating, but completely believable.

This reminded me of The Fastest Way to Fall by Denise Williams with a similar plus-size influencer, which I also liked. I was worried it would get weird with them being future family like it did in Dream Girl Drama, but thankfully that didn't come up and their family was supportive, even encouraging.

I can sense the next couple is coming, and as that book is more popular already, I'm ready for their story.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Love the body positivity vs. body respect and self acceptance featured in this book! Both main characters have flaws, but I enjoyed how they supported each other through their personal slips.

4.5 ⭐️- Read pretty much the whole book today

Not bad for a first time author and series opener. Some aspects of each character felt like missed opportunities for exploration and I sometimes found our FMC super judgy. But it did tie into the character’s harsh judgement of herself. Maybe I mostly felt attacked LOL. I don’t know what it was but I had a hard time connecting deeply to the FMC. Curious to see how the writing develops enough to want to read the 2nd book.

“Set on you” von Amy Lea ist ein herzerwärmender Liebesroman, der die cute Geschichte von Crystal und Scott erzählt. Mit sehr viel Body positivity, Humor und female empowerment. Ein schöner Roman, der Selbstskzeptanz vermittelt.

Cute idea but the book was just eh for me. Didn’t really care for the grandparents plot and the for Crystal to break up with Scott because of Instagram hate was ruined it for me.
