This is not really a romantic book, but I love Eve enough to make up for it. I think you could argue she's aromantic which makes me like it more. I also like that everyone in the pack sees her as the leader without a doubt

Bad Ass Alpha
Another incredible story by Kathryn Moon! I absolutely love this author’s writing! Adam and Eve are sneaky and mysterious and absolute chaos for the other 3 alphas! I did not expect for the omega to be a male and have this bad ass killer alpha female but Eve is literally a wrecking ball everyone needs in their life. She doesn’t listen to no one and won’t back down from anything! I honestly did not expect the ending it gave but it was really good and I cannot wait for the next omegaverse book!

Might come back and finish this later, but I wouldn't be upset if I never do.

3.75 - liked it a lot
This book follows hit woman Eve, as she moves in on her latest mark, Adam. The org that hired Eve wants him dead, since he's damaged their business. But they didn't tell her he was an omega.
Adam has been running for years, working against omega trafficking rings. His fate has come to find him, and instead of running from it, he runs towards it. Or rather, her. With Eve's bite, he has some small measure of protection, though neither of them knows how to be in a relationship with the other alpha/omega.
Eve is a pretty shitty alpha for an omega, as far as alphas go. So once she's bonded Adam, her next item of business is to find him some alphas who can take care of him, and she can take off.
What she doesn't bargain for is feelings; her feelings, feelings others develop for her as they get to know her. Suddenly, she is doubting her tough views on life and relationships for other people.
I liked this book. I liked Eve: she's badass, pretty emotionally disconnected, etc. I liked Adam, who was an omega, but not a particularly naive one. I liked the others in the pack too, and the pack dynamicthat allowed Eve to keep being herself, just a more open and better version of herself.
I liked the kind of theme of not necessarily being a good person, having issues, etc. but still being seen worthy of love by other people. Still being chosen by other people regardless. I also liked that Eve never was really able to trust anyone, and in this book, she really did learn that not only could she trust members of her pack/family, but that she could have their trust in turn. She learned the value of that reciprocity.
Some of my fav quotes:
> "I was not an alpha who ought to have a claim on an omega. I was not a good person. But I had chosen this pack...and they were proud to be mine.
> I was proud to be theirs too." 🥹
and
> " ' I love you,' I whispered in his ear. Adam's breath hitched...'You knew.'
> 'I hoped.' "
Ugh it just makes me so happy for her and Adam and the packkkk 😭
I also liked that this book continued on other books in the series in the way that we've had an omega trafficking ring referenced in a couple of them. It was a main focal point in this one, and it was cool to finally see it addressed.
I also like that each of these books has a little bit of a different dynamic. In this one, it's from the main POV of an alpha, and for the first time, there's some alpha-on-alpha love . Also obviously Eve is not only an alpha, but she's a female, and we get a little more POV from a male omega too.
Overall, I think this is one of my favorite in the series so far. Would recommend if you li

Eve, the assassin female alpha, has been assigned her next mark: Adam. However, Eve soon realises that she doesn't have the right facts, as Adam is an omega and not the enemy she was made to believe. There is something darker going on behind her mission, and Eve won't rest until she finds out the truth and keeps her mark alive, even if it means joining a pack.
I love how strong Eve is both in her job and in her pack. I can't wait to read more about her in the rescue for Faith.
