This plays in the sae universe as Lola and the milionaries and the character from this book actually shows up in their series. FMC's name is Eve and she is a contract killer. She gets hired to take out an Omega but in the heat of the moment, accidentially bites him and bindes themselves together. Now she is stuck with an omega she doesnt want who is on the run from some pretty bad people. The omegas name is Adam. ( i know.... Adam and Eve lol) Anyways, so in an effort to rid herself from him, she comes up with a plan to get Adam another pack. SHe hires these three alphas for protection. The alphas are called Garret, Jamie, and Rory. Eve is very blunt and cold but she'll grow on them. Together they now need to protect Adam and save adams sister Faith. There is also a separate book about Faith but the audio book is not out yet. Overall pretty good and I like Eve's development throughout the book. There was a lof of action and she and rory enjoy killing which is cool. I definetly enjoyed this book a lot!

“For a brief moment, my own luck struck me, hard and quick. I was not a woman who deserved these men. I was not an alpha who ought to have a claim on an omega. I was not a good person. But I had chosen this pack, not quite for myself, and they were proud to be mine. I was proud to be theirs too.“

What an amazing journey Kathryn Moon gifted us with in this story. I already knew she was an excellent writer but she surpassed herself with Bad Alpha. The way she evolved the plot, relationships and characters felt impecable. I’m in total awe of her talent.

Eve had fascinated me from the moment she showed up in Lola’s books, I was anticipating her story very much, and thus I was worried I might be disappointed. But Bad Alpha actually surpassed my expectations.

I loved Eve’s character development the most in the story. The little glints at her past and backstory broke my heart and helped to understand Eve so much. And the fact that she was The Alpha for real in all situations, god that was hot.

The idea that female Alphas have a “lock” fascinated me. And mixing the lock with male alphas’ knots was out of this world explosively hot.

I loved how Eve ended up bonded to all the alphas plus Adam, and Adam only bonded one of them plus Eve. It was nice to get the focus on her and for once it felt very genuine and organic, not forced or awkward at all. And I loved that.

Adam was one of the best male omegas I’ve ever read. I loved the fact that he was a con artist, how he used all his resources to trick people. How he was willing to go as far as necessary to find his sister, but before that, to save all those omegas. I just loved his relationship with Eve, the way their intimacy increased and their bond grew stronger over time, I just loved to read how not-sweet together they were but how they still managed to be endearing in their own way.

I’m positively obsessed with Rory. He’s one of the best and most complex alphas I’ve ever read. His tug of war with Eve was the hottest shit I’ve ever read. And the fact that he turned into a cuddle bear after bonded just killed me.

Jamie was also an incredible character. I loved how he was Eve’s rock in a way none of the others could be. And I absolutely loved the fact that he’s the only one of the four who bit Eve. I felt like her relationship with Jamie was more equal than with the others, and that made me like them a little bit more than the others.

Garrett and his love for pegging was excellent. I wasn’t that much into him as the others, but he was much better than I thought after reading some reviews. I could see how he worked with Adam and Eve and how he brought something they both needed into the metaphorical table.

Overall, I loved Bad Alpha and even though it’s a long book, I was left wanting more, which is always a sign that a book is excellent. I’m looking forward to the next installment in Moon’s sweetverse. She has become an author I’ll read everything from ❤️

A different beat than the rest of the sweetverse so far - as opposed to having a clearly defined main character like Baby or Lola, Bad Alpha feels like it focuses on both Adam AND Eve equally with neither as the head. Probably due to their bonding taking effect so early in the book. With Adam being very needy and Eve being very unable to give, it balances very well.

Though, Eve is the winner who gets to sample all the dicks so good for her.

The characters - especially Eve - feel like they bloom and grow and fit together very naturally and this group of very independent alphas ends up fitting together really organically.

Poor Rory waited so long to get railed I wanted to cry, I felt like I was gettin blue balls along with him as Eve riled him up and ran off to someone else’s bed 😭 but that’s just me cheerin for the underdog again as I usually do, so my big providing alpha was unsurprisingly a strong personal fav.
And when he did get dicked down (is it dicked down if he gets fem-dommed? …Coochie’d down??) I was like a proud parent cheering in the stands - don’t think into that.

I did feel like the 3rd quarter slowed down quite a bit, I found myself kinda bored on my way to the finish but once I hit the action and the plot twists at the end I couldn’t put it down.

Overall a good time!

I’m not huge on Domme/Submissive dynamics but this was one was really sweet, Kathryn Moon is the only author I enjoy reading reverse harems from.
