Eve

I love the Kathryn Moon sweet verse books (there are others by other authors which I haven’t read) and this one was just as good as the first three. Those books were some of my few 5 star reads last year and this is my first for the year.

I like the way the sweetverse omegaverse has been set up with polyamory being totally normal in pack structures and the why choose relationships not always being one girl and multiple guys only interested in the girl is more interesting and fun. The multiple view points from all the main characters involved is a set up I love  because it add so much more to the depth of the story.

Alphas. Knots. Locks. What more could you want?

One job. One target. One mission. Except all it took was one mark to change everything.

I don’t even know where to begin. This book was sexy, dangerous, and yummy. I fell in love immediately and couldn’t stop. I’m not lying, I was up until 3 AM reading. I love the Sweetverse and this was a wonderful addition.

Eve was on fire. Alpha. Dominant. Powerful. Sexy. I love nothing more than a strong independent female character. Especially when their interior starts to crack and emotions start to slip.

The men in the pack, WOAH. Adam was so adorable, let’s be real. I wanted to court him too. The relationship between Adam and Garrett was beautiful. Even when it included Eve. That one scene, cmon, y’all know what I’m talking about, made me purr. Jamie was so sexy and just hit differently. Rory was hands down my favorite. I was so sad to see less of him over the other guys. But when I tell you, when that scene arrived, nothing could interfere with my attention.

I loved this book so much. I loved seeing the little appearances with Lola and her men. I can tell you, I cannot wait for Faith’s story. I just love everything Kathryn Moon writes, let’s be real. She captivated me immediately and then gives us these knots and locks. Whew. I highly recommend reading this book!

This was my first omegaverse and I highly enjoyed it. Moon's blurb at the beginning was also very helpful explaining what to expect. I just assumed it was a shifter book, but they don't shift. They essentially have the attributes of shifters without the shift. It was a very different concept for me which is always nice to read something new and unique. This book kind of reminded me of The Emerald Lakes Series by Britt Andrews. If you liked this I highly suggest that series and vice versa.

When Eve was first introduced there was no doubt that she was a bad ass, and her story proves it. This is a very original omegaverse romance in the Sweetverse. The story is compelling and captivating. I was easy to get lost in the wild rider of Eve and her guys' story.

I love Kathryn Moon’s previous sweet omegaverse books and was super excited to read this one. It did not disappoint! Eve is a badass alpha who finds herself biting off more than she can chew (pun intended

I've loved all of Kathryn Moon's previous Sweetverse books & Bad Alpha is no different - I adore Eve and her men.

We met Eve, the Alpha female assassin, in Lola's duet & it seemed like there was more to her then. I'm so glad we got her story and with it comes a dynamic we haven't seen before in the Sweetverse: a female Alpha (Eve), her bonded male Omega (Adam) and the pack of three lone male Alphas (Garrett, Jamie and Rory).

To be honest, I immediately liked the other 3 Alphas more than I did Eve (just because of some of her actions & how she treated Adam) but as they all learned to cooperate and coexist under one roof, she absolutely grew on me. I think her bond with Jamie and letting him be the Alpha let me see that she did have that vulnerable side to her.

Sweet Omega Adam just wants everyone to be happy & to rescue his sister - I loved seeing his bond with Garrett (he might be my favorite?!) and the group play with Eve/Adam/Garrett was wonderful. Speaking of his sister, I would have loved to see more of a resolution/rescue but I feel like we'll get that in a future book. Fingers crossed!

Re-reading Bad Alpha, I fell even more in love with Eve and her reluctant pack mates! I love all of Kathryn Moon's Sweetverse books, but this one definitely stands on its own with how lovably unlikeable Adam and Eve can be. My first review was 4/5 stars, for the re-read I'm bumping it up to 5/5.

The best in the series imo!

As soon as I started my journey into omegaverse, I had several people suggest, very strongly lol, that I read Bad Alpha.
They were not wrong. You should definitely read this book.
It’s a pack centered around an alpha named Eve. She’s a badass contract killer who has her feelings on lock.
She is a character type that I’ve seen before, but almost always as a man. I love that this book just centers around how bad ass she is. She’s spent so long being determined to be the strongest alpha in the room, and she is.
She definitely had no plans of joining a pack until her latest job goes a little awry.
I love the whole pack. Like LOVE them! I love that she ties them all together.
I really have enjoyed all of the sweetverse books because they showcase how different pack dynamics can be. The dynamics in Lola’s pack are totally different than the dynamics in Baby’s pack which are different than Eve’s pack.

It’s hard to say which is my favorite because I loved them all for different reasons and I’d definitely recommend them!
