I got to ARC read this and am so happy I did! This book was so good! I haven't read the rest of the Nashville Neighborhood series but I'm definitely going to now! When Sydney decides she wants her brother's best friend to help her break away from her good girl title you just know it's going to be good. Watching Sydney and Preston try to just be casual when from the start they feel this crazy connection is just screaming for trouble but they try anyways and it definitely was an emotional adventure for both of them. I loved their story and can't wait to read about the rest of the neighborhood!

"We could get caught." His voice dripped with sex. "Maybe that's what you want?
Someone to watch while I finger-fuck your virgin pussy?"

Somehow I missed reading this book when it came out. After reading The Broker as an ARC this year I immediately went back and read this. It was so nice to be able to spend more time in the neighborhood and see some scenes from a different POV.

Brother’s best friend is always a trope that is fun especially when you add in virgin FMC and teach me. Nikki Sloane made it so deliciously spicy as per usual.

 My Review:

The Good Girl is the fifth installment in the "Nashville Neighborhood" series and this is where we get a bit of forbidden love and some innocent learning how to kiss and being intimate with someone. Preston and Sydney have known each other for many years. Preston is the best friend to Sydney's older brother. And Preston knows that he can't ever be with Sydney. She is 19 and wanting to become a chef but her parents are trying to control everything that she does. All her life she has endeavored to be the good girl in the family, to do everything right. But her parents hold such tight reigns on her and she knows if she does a misstep she will just end up like her brother who was kicked out of the family. Preston also has more on the line as he is in business with her brother and if things go wrong he could lose everything....but he has been drawn to Sydney for over a year and when she comes to him for lesson on intimacy....he realizes he can't resist her any longer.

The Good Girl was such a fantastic story and I really had a blast with this. Nikki Sloane always delivers and this series has definitely been a blast to read. I loved the whole innocent good girl heroine with the playboy hero. This is actually one of my favorite dynamics to read in romance and Nikki Sloane really did this so well. I loved how easy these two get along, how well they connect to each other and there is such hidden emotional intimacy that grows between them. I really enjoyed their interactions. The character growth that we get from Sydney was delightful. I loved seeing her coming into her own strength, gaining confidence and standing up for what she loves. And if you love the angst that is delivered in a siblings best friend....let me tell you the third act has all that forbidden conflict you could wish for and more!!! And it was definitely one of my more favorite reactions because we also see Sydney and Preston really push back against her brother and fight for each other.

Overall I found The Good Girl to be a fascinating, sensual sweet romance that had me in the feels from beginning to end.

Preston Lowe has never gotten over the breakup with his first love. At his and his best friend, Collin’s graduation party, he runs across someone that he cannot take his eyes off of. She just happens to be Collin’s baby sister, Sydney. She is gorgeous and makes a huge impression on Preston that night. The kiss they shared still lingered in his mind a year later when he sees her again. Sydney Novak has always been the good girl. She thought that night would bring her and her long-time crush together finally. Big problem with that is Collin does not want him messing with his sister. Preston can’t risk messing up his business partnership with Preston.

Fast forward to a year later, Preston runs into Sydney again. After her parents have yet again stopped her from reaching her goal of becoming a chef, Sydney wants to do something to rile her parents up. Sydney’s parents use their money to control their children. They used ultimatums and pushed Collin away completely. Now they are doing the same to Sydney. She runs to the one person they would hate for help. Preston and Sydney devise a plan to fake date to piss off her parents. The plan evolves into Bad Girl Lessons.

This book is H-O-T. The more time they spend together, the more they find they enjoy each other’s company. Can they keep this a secret from Collin? Sydney’s parents want the relationship to end now. Being with Preston gives Sydney the strength to finally stand up to them. Her parents are a trip. They don’t realize that they are holding on too tight.

I loved the relationship between Sydney and Preston. I also loved the friendship between Collin, Preston and Troy. Preston has changed after seeing his friends fall in love. He wants what they have. Can he have that with Sydney?

The Good Girl is book 5 in the Nashville Neighborhood series. Preston is Greg’s son and Cassidy’s ex from The Doctor book 1.

Sydney is Colin’s little sister from The Frat Boy book 4, Colin is also Preston’s best friend.

Sydney is a good girl she lives her life the way her parents expect her too. She always had a crush on Preston and after a moment between them she asks him to teach her to be bad and he agrees on giving her lessons. It was definitely a fun read.

Tropes:
Best Friend’s sister
Virgin Heroine
Forbidden
Secret Romance
Redemption

Thank you Nikki Sloane and Valentine PR for the ARC.
