This was a really gorgeous magical, whimsical story which I absolutely adored. The characters are engaging, my two favourites being the dragon and the monster under the bed! The book is full of lovely black and white illustrations.
I would say the book is aimed toward the younger end of middle grade, but that's not to say that older readers wouldn't enjoy it too - I'm 34 and I loved it!

I had so much fun while reading this book. It had everything I wanted magic, a quest, diverse characters and a really good feeling while reading. I loved Willow, she was a very sweet and kind character whose I was rooting for. I also love the growth she had during the book.

I really struggle with books that drop you straight into the action/plot without giving you much to go on personality-wise for the main character. By the quarter mark of a book I want to have built up at least some sense of what a character's like, otherwise I have a really hard time connecting. So this book is evidently just not for me!

This has been such an incredible read, I absolutely loved it! Magic, dragons, trolls & monsters what more could you ask for?
Not only is the story magical but the illustrations are so beautiful, really bringing to life the characters in your imagination. The world as a whole and all of the characters were so well thought out that I was oohing & ahing at every piece of the puzzle as it fit together.
I 100% recommend this book to all parents looking to add a little magic to their kids story time. With a strong female heroine and a rag tag bunch of friends to back her up, this book ticks all the boxes.
