Wonderful first book of a Lower middle grade fantasy.
This book was a lot of fun. It got a 7.57 on CAWPILE. Oswin his comments made me laugh out loud multiple times. It was a fun adventure. This book doesn't take a lot of brainpower and is so easy to read away on a cozy day.

This was a cute book. I book-clubbed it with A, and it was really fun to chat about with her. Some really unique fun ideas, plus a lot of familiar fantasy territory, but done in a fun way. Very accessible for 9 yo. Perfect for fans of Harry Potter who aren't quite ready to read the books to themselves. This is a fast-paced book that moves quickly from each part of the quest to the next. Of course, I would have preferred a bit more depth, but it's perfect for the audience.

I loved this book! What a creative storyline! The author did a magical job of describing everyone so vividly I could see them in my head! I cannot wait to start book 2! I also cannot wait to recommend this to friends!
