This is book 8.5 in the Stephanie Plum series meaning it takes place between books 8 and 9. It's a holiday novella.
It was cute.
It wasn't as good as the usual novels, the characters weren't as good, the humor wasn't as good, the mystery wasn't as good but it was cute. I would have liked a little bit more into Diesel, what he is, where he came from etc. etc. etc. but it was a quick novella with a holiday twist.
It was worth the 90 minutes it took me to read it, I enjoyed it.

This one was fine. I wasn't a huge fan of the magic as it felt super out of place in a series that is grounded in reality. But as a cute (hopefully non-cannon) Christmas story, it was at least enjoyable.
