I swear I have read this before but it didn't show up on my Goodreads. Cute and typical Stephanie Plum.

This was an odd read. Became of my eternal love of mysteries and detective stories. Janet's series about a bounty hunter named Plum would be something I was interested in. I wasn't a fan of the writing style, the dialogue and the main character I found, lacking in some way. Too cliche?Perhaps take this review with a grain of salt. This was my first introduction to Plum and her world. And since this is a Christmas special and not a regular addition to the series, I could be a little harsh. I have not completely written off Janet's Plum series but I'm in no rush to go out and grab another Plum tale.

Cute little comedic mystery. Laugh out loud funny family moments. Sharpie teeth, anyone?

I don't know how I feel about
Spoileradding a supernatural element to this this series
but it was a cute little book nonetheless.

This book was basically mindless. I did NOT enjoy the writing style and the storyline was just boring.
funny lighthearted mysterious fast-paced

It was too short and not as exciting as the numbered series. It is a cute story though and a very quick read.

Bleh - this book was alright. I liked that I could read it in less than a day - started this morning and already finished it. But there were so many things I didn't like. I don't like that Diesel and Sandy Claws and Ring and now Mary Alice were all "special" and were basically super natural. I don't mind books where there are supernatural occurrences, but seeing as the first 8 books of the Stephanie Plum books are all NORMAL books, it really irked me that all of a sudden there's supernatural stuff happening. I REALLY did not like that. I was kinda of okay with it as long as they only alluded to Diesel being "special" but when he actually vanished before their eyes like magic, that was just annoying. It really takes away from the actual series. Not sure that I will read the next non-number book.

As for the story line/plot of the book. It was okay, but it ended SO quickly. One minute Ring is there and the next minute Stephanie is saying Diesel took care of him even though you don't read anything about that.

Overall, I was disappointed, but luckily it was so short that I didn't waste too much time on the book.

Cute and very Stephanie Plum, while still having a bit of Christmas magic.

Nothing magical. Typical Evanovich.
