I live the rest of the series so much this one wasn’t my favorite. The twas the night poem however had me cracking up

I love Janet's book, but this was too farfetched for me.
I can kinda deal with Stephanie's cars always exploding or getting messed up, but dealing with superheroes? No..not for me, thanks.

This was one of the few Janet Evanovich books at the library to read..so a Christmas book it is..

This is a 2 1/2 stars kind of book. It was alright, it gave me a little bit of a Stephanie Plum fix, but it makes me wish that I could have taken one of the read books out of the library. This book is only 164 pages long..so it's not a real novel to me. There was a lot of talk of Christmas cookies which made me really hungry and I might even go make some cookies for myself..maybe not..it is hot outside..

I enjoyed this quick, fun read. The paranormal aspect was a bit strange compared to the rest of the series, but I read a lot of paranormal so it didn't bother me. I love seeing Stephanie's relationships develop.

I had the audiobook. It was enjoyable but not one of my favorites from the Stephanie Plum series. It was lacking somthing, felt a bit rushed in character and plot development. I was looking for a quick little holiday read and that is what I got.

Simply ridiculous. I shouldn't have bothered. At least it was a short book!

A short and sweet Christmassy tale. Nothing very much out of the ordinary, but for those that enjoy the Stephanie Plum series (like me) its an entertaining little story.

I found this book by searching for Thrillers set at Christmas. This is absolutely not my idea of a Thriller. I’m not sure what genre this is, but it’s definitely not one that I am a fan of. There was a bit of detective/mystery, a bit of the supernatural, a lot of corniness (that I guess is supposed to be humor), and some romance, maybe. Most of it sounded like it was written for children, but then there would be an obnoxious eye roll worthy sexual innuendo to prove how “adult” this book is. I did not enjoy the writing, the story, or the characters. ? The writing is very juvenile, the thoughts of the protagonist are ridiculous. I especially disliked how it was just casually thrown in that the protagonist is currently involved in a romantic relationship with a man who molested her as a child, just like that was a fine every day thing.

I took in this story via audio and do not recommend that, either. The narrator was not good at reading for the different characters.

The only reason I finished this book, is so people wouldn’t immediately dismiss my review, because I hadn’t read the entire book and it was super short.

This was a very easy read (read in less than 24 hours). Cute, short, and typical Janet Evanovich writing.

I really don't like to give one star reviews... but I did not enjoy this at all. Generally I can see how a book might appeal to someone else, but in this case I actively do not recommend that you read this book. The only reason I finished it was because it was short. And sometimes the main character made me smile.

There was a supernatural element that was not explained at all and this left me frustrated and disappointed. In addition it felt extremely stereotypical and distasteful, I'm sure there's a way that this concept could be done that's not distasteful, but this wasn't it.

Honestly I haven't heard a lot of good or bad about Janet Evanovitch's writing, but it will take a lot to convince me to pick up something else from her after this read. I am definitely open to being convinced however!
