It dragged in places, it was a bit clunky in the beginning, and it was a bit longer than it needed to be. It was predictable but I had a really good time. It was really easy to read and pulled me in, and I cant wait to see where it is going.

This is perfect for the fans of Fourth Wing. It was fun and entertaining but could have been better if we had a few sex scenes and could be a little less predictable. Overall I had fun.

I’m rating a sold 4.75⭐️ . I’ve read a lot of romantasy books this year, some have been downright bad (looking at you On Wings of Blood and A Curse Carved in Bone) and some just mediocre (Fearless, A Discovery of Witches) so it was refreshing to get so caught up in this story. It’s definitely got Fourth Wing vibes with the Direwolf bonding trials, but it stands in its own. A likeable FMC, spice, dark secrets and twists I kind of saw coming but were still satisfying. I definitely recommend this if this is your genre!
