👤POV: single first person  

🐎 Pace: Medium

💭 Back at it again with Hastings (probably Poirot’s favorite buddy). Of note, this book makes some nods to the previous mystery of the blue train. 

What I loved:

• Poirot being pulled out of retirement
• Cast of characters is perfect size for suspects
• Lots of revelations throughout 
• Keeps you guessing until the very end
• The final reveal!! 

What I wasn’t a fan of

• One incident isn’t tied up well in the final reveal and I’m still a bit stumped by how it worked given the finale 

Overall, I always enjoy Poirot. He’s a joy to read and join in this journey of solving whatever mystery he may be facing. This was unique in that a murder hadn’t taken place when our detective’s interest is piqued.
