The majority of the book is fine, always a pleasure to read a Poirot story, very funny, but the end was nuts and actually super unexpected, which I never really expect in a mystery novel. In my mind, there’s always some cliche twist that’s been done a thousand times, but the twists in these Poirot books are always actually quite unexpected

These books are so similar to Sherlock Holmes that its frustrating. Everything about Hurcule Poirot and his sidekick just feel like a cheap ripoff of Sherlock and Watson. The actual mysteries are fun and interesting but I wish the characters were a little bit more developed. I'm curious if I'll like the Miss Marple series more.

No de lo más brillante de Agatha Christie, pero ciertamente entretenido.
My all time favourite fictional detective is back, Papa Poirot and his little grey cells! This one was a little different to his usual murder cases as he was trying to solve a murder that hadn’t actually happened yet, although there had been several attempts made already.
I love the relationship that Poirot has with Hastings so enjoyed reading their banter as they worked together, with Poirot, as always, steps ahead. For the first time in ages, I actually predicted something happening in a Christie book!

Just as M. Poirot, I was completely in the dark for the bulk of this mystery. Every confused moment was completely worth it, however, I LOVED the ending. Perfection.

Underwhelming and predictable for frequent readers of Poirot; still some fun elements in the middle.
