my biggest and one of my few complaints for this series is that the panel layouts can be so confusing

House of Slaughter was recommended to me by a sales associate at a local comic bookstore when I told them I wasn't a huge fan of Something is Killing the Children, but enjoyed the dark vibes, the monsters and the characters doing the monster killing. I'm so glad I listened to them and bought this graphic novel!

I loved everything in this graphic novel from the artwork to the story of Jace and Aaron and everything in between. I just picked up Chapters 6-8 and can't wait to see where the new chapters take me. I don't think we're following Jace and Aaron anymore, but excited to see where their stories go in the future.

God the art was great! I felt bits of the story were underdeveloped, but overall really really enjoyed. Telling the story through events in the past and present was great, and again the art and layout was truly stunning. There is one spread where two characters are fighting in the past and the present it is absolutely gorgeous. Something is Killing the Children is definitely required reading before this but would definitely recommend.
