this book was okay. it was really good in the beginning, but went down hill.
the writing was very hard for me to follow. the characters eh. idk, it just wasn’t for me, really.
i was intrigued with the idea of it being like stranger things but it’s more like barbarian. i wish the author would have kept the snake like creature plot and done away with the twist. it was dumb lowkey

There are some fantastically innovative ideas and images in this book and I enjoyed reading most of it. However, it is very geographically specific at the beginning, yet I had trouble visualising things clearly. There were also moments of action when I also had the same difficulty, though this was less of a problem. Still, I'm glad I had the experience of reading this.
