This book was exactly what a horror story should be. More than once, I found myself not wanting to turn the page, afraid of what was coming, the fear of the unknown AND of the known. Omg, just so creepy and so good!

i just……. feel like this book is both overhyped and not for me. it was predictable and the characters (including the main character) were just so annoyingly helpless and foolish. i felt like the “shocking” elements served no purpose while also not being that gruesome. did i read the same book as y’all!?!!??

i will say that i am finding i really dont like horror surrounding animalistic creature entities. if you DO like that, you will probably really enjoy this read since i felt like the creature was the driving entertainment.

much more than a monster story! — I liked this one, but didn’t love it as much as others did. I think I was expecting a monster horror story but this is not that, and that’s okay! I just went in thinking it was lol 

More of a thriller, in my opinion.
