Is kind of a fun set of stories of our favorite characters, plus a few extras
A cute, fun addition set mostly in between the original Percy Jackson and then the Heroes of Olympus series.
Not a necessary read, but the short stories have the tongue in cheek style of the books, which make them enjoyable. The last story is written by Riordan’s son - and very polished for a 16 year old. You can tell it isn’t quite there yet in terms of pacing and smoothness of the writing, but he’s got a good set up and the story is far from painful.

This explains so much! I loved these short stories.
I'm getting myself psyched up for The Mark of Athena. So yeah, reading this is not as fun as reading a whole Rick Riordan novel, but there's still some great stuff in here. The story about Luke make me super sad, the story about Percy was a fun diversion, and the story about Leo really got me excited for the next Heroes of Olympus book. I was also impressed by the story that Riordan's son wrote. It's not as well written as the stories that his dad writes, but hey, he's 16. If he keeps it up, he'll be a great writer when he's older. Plus, his connection with the Percy Jackson books is so awesome that it was really cool to have him write something for this book.
