What I Liked
1) Haley!!!! Wow! What a talented kid! The short story at the end was super well developed and fascinating. Way to go, Haley!!! Gonna add him to my list of Authors To Follow.
2) Luke’s POV. We never got to see this in PJO, so it was an interesting change. Really reinforces the parallels between Luke and Percy; Percy is just Luke with a little more faith in humanity and the gods, and he’s like that primarily because his mom kept him grounded in reality and kindness. Amazing. Sally Jackson is a gift to humanity. She’s not explicitly addressed here, nor is May Castellan (that I can recall), but my takeaway from this is that she’s the best. (Which I already knew.)
3) PJO content. I’m dying. I need more PJO content to stay alive. This was a drop of water in the Atacama of my life. Bless’d be this short collection of stories.
4) SMOL ANNABETH. Have I mentioned that I love Annabeth? I love Annabeth. And little Annabeth swinging a hammer at Luke and Thalia but eventually trusting them? Oh my heart. My HEART.
What I Didn’t Like
1) Needed more of Percy’s perspective. Please. Please I’m begging.
2) architecture vs construction. This is a bit of a nitpick but Annabeth mentioned using heavy-lifting equipment in the reconstruction of Olympus. While I am ELATED at the mention of her reconstruction project (and would very much like to see her plans and layout and also be involved directly in the process of the fictional recreation of Olympus), this is ... not right. That’s not how architecture works?? She’s under-qualified for the actual construction. Yea yea, she COULD learn but like... that’s a big task even for her. It makes more sense to have a Hephaestus kid do the actual heavy lifting. But ofc, for the sake of plot, that was a necessary point. Wrong, but necessary with the way the antagonist was set up.

It was awesome, just because we got one last story in Percy's POV!!!
